New records of four Aplousobranch ascidians in Indian waters from  Andaman and Nicobar Islands

Abstract

Ascidians are exclusively marine creatures having a great evolutionary,  ecological and economic importance. Present study reports four  Aplousobranch ascidians Rhopalaea circula Monniot & Monniot, 2001,  Rhopalaea fusca (Herdman, 1880), Clavelina australis (Herdman, 1899) and Clavelina fecunda (Sluiter, 1904) as new records to Indian waters
from Andaman and Nicobar Islands with their distributional records.
