P.O., Thiruvananthapuram-695 014, Kerala for the best poster presentation entitled “Assessing estuarine biofilm bacterial diversity by 16s RNA clone library-a metagenomic approach” in connection with the International Symposium Marine Ecosystems- Challenges and Opportunities (MECOS 09) During 9th to 12th February 2009 at The Presidency Hotel, Kochi.

1. Sathianandan, T. V., K. S. Mohamed, Somy Kuriakose, K. G. Mini, A. P. Dineshbabu, Grinson George and Sindhu K. Augustine of ICAR-Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute, Kochi-18, Kerala for the best poster presentation entitled “Geospatial distribution and species diversity in fished taxa along the Indian coast” in connection with the International Symposium Marine Ecosystems- Challenges and Opportunities (MECOS2) During 2nd to 5th December 2014 at the Dream Hotel, Kochi.

 

2. Temkar Ganesh, Subir Kumar Mandal, N. Monisha, J. Malarvizi, G. Ajay and R. Jenifer of Marine Algae Research Station (CSIR-CSMCRI), Mandapam Camp 623 519, Tamil Nadu for the best poster presentation entitled “Dominance of Rhizosolenia in Palk Bay: Does Kappaphycus alvarezii cultivation play any role?” in connection with the International Symposium Marine Ecosystems- Challenges and Opportunities (MECOS2) During 2nd to 5th December 2014 at the Dream Hotel, Kochi.

MECOS 3

Dr. R. Reghuprasad Memorial Award for the Best Digital Presentation in ‘Theme 3- Marine biodiversity assessments and valuation’ was presented to:

1. R. Jeyabaskaran, J. Jayasankar, Shelton Padua, D. Prema and V. Kripa of ICAR-Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute, Kochi-18, Kerala for the best Digital poster presentation entitled “By-catch of marine mammals in India” (MBA DP-49) in connection with the International Symposium Marine Ecosystems- Challenges and Opportunities (MECOS 3) during 7-10 January 2020 at the Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (CMFRI), Kochi-18.

2. Sathish Chennuri, Geethanjali Deshmukhe and A. K. Jaiswar of ICAR- Central Institute of Fisheries Education, Mumbai for the best digital poster presentation entitled “Diversity assessment of infraorders Brachyura, Anomura, Caridea and Gebiidea associated with mangroves in and around Mumbai” (MBA DP-41) in connection with the International Symposium Marine Ecosystems- Challenges and Opportunities (MECOS 3) during 7-10 January 2020 at the Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (CMFRI), Kochi-18.
