Abstract

Between January and February 1968 quantitative (1/16 m') and qualitative collections of Molluscs were carried out from the litoral-zone of the shores of South India (Trivandrum-Kovalam Bale, Mandapam Camp) and Ceylon (Colombo-Mt. Lavinia, Negombo). The paper deals with the association of molluscs found in the different ecological niches of the litoral zone.
